DiningTerrace GrillThe Terrace Grill served two dining types. The main counter served burgers, fries, hot dogs and brats. The other was a buffet that was Mexican food such as tacos and tostadas whenever I looked. Looked very tasty, but alas I was too full to try it. Lido RestaurantThe Lido Restaurant is where you will be able to enjoy buffet style dining in an atmosphere that is always casual. You can choose to sit indoors or take your meals out to enjoy them by the pool. While the seating was busy during peak times, we did always manage to find a table. Seats 403 The Lido serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and the special late night dining events. The dinner menus tend to be very close to the Rotterdam's so one does not miss much by choosing the casual dining experience. Menus for the Lido can be found here. Ice Cream BarThe the Ice Bar is really part of the Lido Restaurant. The flavors were constantly changing as one flavor was finished it was replaced. They usually had 1-2 soft serve flavors and 3-5 hard ice cream/sherbet flavors. You can choose between a bowl, a standard cone or a waffle cone. You then can add your own toppings. The pistachio was my favorite flavor. Bars and ClubsDolphin BarThe Dolphin Bar located conveniently by the Lido pool makes it easy to get your favorite drinks. Of course there was never a need to get it yourself, as staff were always available to bring you whatever you desired. The good news, is not once did I feel pressured to buy some drink of the hour like on other lines. Prices were typical for cruising and a sample menu can be found here. ServicesOcean Spa and GymFull service Spa featuring a full array of spa treatments. In your room you will find a spa sale flyer describing the currently discounted services. Detailed Spa Services were described in the brochure:
The Gym had a pretty good assortment of machines and seemed fairly popular but not over crowded. The hours were 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM. They also conduct many exercise classes of various types in the adjoining area. The view out the front of the ship sure makes exercising easier. They had a juice bar available from which you could get something to help you cool down after a long hard workout. ActivitiesObservation DeckThis was a popular location to watch for whales and view glaciers. As it is on the front of the ship it could get a bit cold from the breeze. You can access this deck easily by using the glass doors next to the Lido Grill and walking down the hall towards the front (bow) of the ship. Lido PoolThe lido pool area was the place to be. Besides the obvious swimming and hot-tubbing, here is where many of the activities during the cruise take place. They range from special meals to demonstrations. Ping pong tables were available in one corner and were very popular. The retractable roof over the pool allowed the ship to keep the bad weather out, but allow the sunshine in. View panorama of Lido Pool here.
