ActivitiesInternet CafeThis was a popular place. Seemed to always be crowded. The ship was equipped with wireless access also, but do not know how much of the ship was actually serviced. They did seem to have some connection problems a few times during our trip. The AtriumHere you are part way up the large fountain in the Atrium. The atrium was smaller than many ships I've been on, but was nice. It was too bad the fountain never actually was filled during our cruise. The steps here were good nice place for pictures, and were used by the ships photographers on formal night. Wajang TheaterThe Wajang Theater served dual purposes as a meeting room and a movie theater. Free popcorn was available just outside during movies. Seats 249 Half MoonThis meeting room was used mostly for Club Hal activities. It is off the beaten path at a dead end which kept the kids away from the rest of the cruisers for much of the time. Hudson RoomThis meeting room was also used mostly for Club Hal activities. It is off the beaten path at a dead end which kept the kids away from the rest of the cruisers for much of the time. DiningRotterdam Dining RoomSeats 657 - Two Decks. There was a bandstand on the upper deck which is where live background music would be performed. The was some interesting shaking when we left dock during one of the diners as the thruster were used. Other than that, there did not seem to be too much noise or vibration. Breakfast, lunch (on sea days) and dinner were served here. Menus can be found here. View panorama of Rotterdam Dining room here. Bars and ClubsVermeer LoungeVermeer Lounge was an interesting name as I would have called it a theater as all the major shows took place on the stage in here. I did notice some wear on the couches in the front row, but other than that, it seemed to be in pretty good shape. For the most part, views ranged from great to fair depending on your location. The first few rows on the main floor and the front row in the balcony were very good. The sound system provide enough volume to hear clearly from any location without being overly loud. Seats 600 View panorama of the Vermeer Lounger here. Java CafeThe Java Cafe was the place to get your fancy coffees. Oddly enough it was never very crowded. Plenty of seating and off the main path making it a nice quiet place to enjoy a cup of your favorite specialty coffee. Seats 37 ShoppingPhoto GalleryThe Photo Gallery was located just outside the Vermeer which made if very convenient to stop in before or after a show. This was also the worst time, as they would be very crowded. The one thing that bothered us it the time it took for photos to actually show up. On several occasions it would take well over 24 hours for them to appear. The strange part would be, some of the photos from an event would be there, but not all of them. OtherPursers OfficeThe Pursers Office is located here, but in general the front office can handle most everything that you might need. Shore Excursions DeskMy best advice is pre-book your excursions if possible. The line was very long the first two days and many items sold out. They did have a stand with information and brochures about the excursions. Front OfficeThe Front Office staff seemed genuinely interested in helping. The lines here could get a little long during peak times, but in general it was convient. BowI found the easiest way to get to the Bow was from the Lower Promenade deck. It was a great place to take in the view. If you stood about 2 feed back from the rail, the breeze would blow over you and you will be much warmer. Navigation InformationJust outside the excursion desk were two navigation information maps. The detailed map of Glacier Bay was interesting to see just how really big the park is.
