Once again we had breakfast at Versailles (menu). Jose did it again, he never missed the girls.
Our youngest went to Kids Crew to play pirate. They got in costume and paraded around the ship - singing and shouting as they went. My oldest wanted to shoot some hoops and then went for a round of chess.
Lunch was in the Market Cafe as a heavier lunch did not appeal to the kids.
The girls then headed off for Ribbon Lei making lessons. This was a surprising challenge, that frustrated some. A few people young and old just didn't quite get the hang of this one, although most did. The instructor did indicate that this was a difficult thing to learn. The end results were very impressive, and I suspect I will be seeing more of these in the future.
I went to watch the Ice Carving demonstrations. The two carvers each had a block of ice and we were tasked with trying to guess what they were making for some prizes. If you have never seen these talented guys work before, it is really amazing. I especially liked the use of the chainsaw. In about 15 minutes we went from a big block to a fish leaping out of the water.
The girls went with me to the library to get some books to read. The kids section was only a few shelves, but they both found something of interest. I looked around briefly and there did seem to be a little bit of everything. Of course there was a higher percentage of nautical themed books.
Back in the pool for some afternoon fun. The pool was not as full as before, so the waves were not as much fun. The water was just waist deep as compared to shoulder deep last time. The pool level did slowly rise about a foot while we were there.
My wife went to the art trunk sale looking for bargains. She found something she liked for me, but it is a surprise, so I don't know what it is yet.
Once again we could not resist going toVersailles (Menu) for dinner, even though we knew Aqua would be serving the same meal. The girls really enjoyed trying the new foods out, knowing that they did not have to eat it if they didn't care for it. They surprised themselves a few times on what they liked. Our youngest did favor the kids menu for her main course.
While the my wife dropped our youngest off at Kids Crew, I took a caught a few minutes of the Polynesian dancers. The show was packed and I was standing in the back holding my camera over my head to get a few shots of the show. Everyone in the audience seemed to be having a good time. I wished we had had the time to see this show as a family as the girls would have loved it.
The show tonight was the magic of "Zoltan". Our youngest chose to see the show with Kids Crew, while our oldest sat with us. We were in the center section about ten rows back, whereas kids club was off to the port side about 20 rows back. The show was a good general magic show with some fun audience participation.
Back in the room we found our snacks waiting
